Lead Renovator Update & On-Line Approval
Posted Tuesday, June 6th 2010

Greetings;

Lots of drama on the EPA Renovators Rule implementation

MOLD COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Lead Renovator Update & On-Line Approval

EEA is accredited under the Texas Mold Assessment & Remediation Rule (TMARR) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS). EEA offers the three day Mold Assessment Technician and five day Mold Assessment Consultant courses, the five day Mold Remediation Contractor and the half-day Mold Remediation Worker.

Those who complete either of the assessment courses or the contractor training are eligible to apply for State certification upon satisfactory completion of a written examination by TDSHS. Additional information can be obtained at www.dshs.state.tx.us/mold.

Texas is currently the only unit of government in the United States that offers an accreditation and certification program for mold professionals. EEA is currently the only accredited training provider offering all four mold training programs outside of Texas.

Our experience in other emerging environmental disciplines indicates that a recognized State certification is the best approach to reciprocity should the Federal or other states adopt a mold certification program.
