Andrew McLellan
Andrew McLellan founded Environmental Education Associates (EEA) in 1992 to provide environmental certification training for personnel involved in the environmental cleanup industry. He is training director for EEA’s accredited asbestos, lead, hazardous materials, mold and safety training programs. He responsible for design and implementation of several innovative training programs, including recent programs in healthy homes and weatherization training.
Andy has been involved in numerous workforce development initiatives, dating to the mid-90’s when EEA worked with agencies to train and place individuals with local contractors and more recently, working with the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo and the Employment Opportunity Council (EOC) at the University of Buffalo to train twenty-eight individuals with residential home improvement contractor involved in healthy homes and lead hazard control. EEA also works closely with local employment agencies to make opportunities for position available during and after training.
Mr. McLellan is grant director for EEA and has helped to secure over $8,000,000 in public and private funding to facilitate healthy homes and lead hazard control throughout New York State. Andy is an appointee to the NYS Governors Advisory Board for Lead Poisoning Prevention and a board member of the nationally recognized Lead & Environmental Hazards Association (LEHA). He also serves as President of Family Environmental Health Resources, Inc, a 501c3 corporation dedicated to improving the environmental health of Western New York residents.
Herb Dohr, Training Director
Herb brings over twenty years of experience to the environmental/safety industry. He joined Environmental Education Associates in September, 2003, after serving as Manager at several local environmental consulting and laboratory organizations.
Specific experience inlcudes Health and Safety Training, OSHA Compliance Assistance, Microscopy, Health & Safety Plans, Job Hazard Anaysis and Industrial Hygiene Studies.
Mr. Dohr serves as NYSDOH-approved Training Director for our asbestos training programs. He is also responsible for the development of new instructors, improving/updating training materials, techniques, courseware and equipment setup at all office and offsite locations. Herb is also OSHA-approved for the 10-hour and 30-hour Construction Safety Training Courses.
Mark Newman
Mark joined the EEA staff in 2002 after several years in the home improvement and housing finance industries. He has an extensive background in the housing industry, with direct experience in property rehabilitation and housing counseling. Mark is also a NYS Certified Secondary School teacher.
His expertise includes asbestos and lead inspections, risk assessments, project monitoring and clearance evaluation. He is a certified asbestos air sampling technician and inspector, lead inspector and risk assessor, and mold assessment technician. He has completed hundreds of site investigations.
Recent activities include project management for a 700 housing unit multi-family project and site oversight of the Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency housing rehabilitation projects.
Mark currently serves as lead instructor in our lead certification and lead safe work practices training courses. He also supports the Lead Connections grant program as risk assessor and contractor liaison.
He earned his BS from Niagara University in 1989 and from Buffalo State College in 2001.
Anthony DeMiglio
Anthony joined our staff in 2001 after many years in the environmental remediation and home improvement industries. He has direct experience in his family's home improvement business as laborer and supervisor, and as laborer and safety officer for Sevenson Environmental Services.
His expertise includes asbestos, lead and mold evaluations, assessments, project monitoring and clearance evaluation. He is a certified asbestos air sampling technician and inspector, lead inspector and risk assessor and mold assessment consultant.
Anthony has completed hundreds of site investigations for public, private, residential and commercial clientele as technician, supervisor and field services manager. Recent accomplishments include serving as Grant Manager for a recent EEA Lead Elimination Action Program (LEAP) project that created over 250 lead safe homes, trained over 400 personnel and improved local infrastructure for lead hazard control.
Anthony serves as instructor for our lead certification and lead safe work practices training, and as guest instructor for our mold certification training. Other responsibilites inlcude grant support for Contractor Connections, as supervisor of field services and for Lead Connections - NYC, where he provides technical support to grant staff.
John Glavin
John joined our staff in 2005 after several years as an asbestos abatment supervisor. His abatement experience includes the complete range of asbestos removal projects as laborer, supervisor and project manager.
John's expertise includes asbestos inspections, project monitoring and clearance evaluation. He is a certified asbestos air sampling technician, inspector, project monitor and project designer. He has completed hundreds of site-based services for public, private, residential and commercial clientele as technician, supervisor and field services manager. As asbestos field manager for UNYSE, John supervises a staff of fifteen technicians, project monitors and administrative staff. He has personally managed over 2000 seperate asbestos abatement projects since 2006.
John is a NYSDOH-approved instructor in our asbestos training programs, specializing in work practices and hands-on activities.
Scott Briggs
Scott joined the EEA staff in 2003 after several years as a lead inspector and risk assessor. His background also includes many years as a manufacturing engineer. His expertise includes asbestos, lead and mold evaluations, assessments, project monitoring and clearance evaluation. He is a certified asbestos air sampling technician and inspector, lead inspector and risk assessor, and mold assessment technician. He also serves as Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) for field x-ray flourescence (XRF) testing equipment.
He has completed thousands of lead-based paint inspections, risk assessments and clearance evaluations for single-family and multi-family residential, institutional and public clientele, including public, private and subsidized housing.
Scott conducted extensive XRF lead testing across the United States. As part of the National Healthy Homes Project, lead evaluations were conducted in private housing in selected communities to evaluate the status of housing across the nation.
Scott is an instructor in our lead certification and lead safe work practices courses. He specializies in the technical aspects of inspections and risk assessments.
Scott earned his BS degree from Cornell University.
Paul Reid

Paul joined the EEA staff in 2000 after many years as laborer and supervisor of asbestos abatement, dating to the early '90s.
He is a certified asbestos air sampling technician, inspector, manager/planner, project monitor and project designer. He has completed hundreds of site-based services for public, private, residential and commercial clientele.
Paul is a NYSDOH-approved instructor in our asbestos training programs, specializing in work practices and hands-on activities. He trains hundreds of asbestos personnel each year, including inmates in the NYS Correctional System under special contract with the State of New York.
Paul graduated from McDonald College of McGill University. He's an avid race boater and beloved children's soccer coach.

Robert Bishop
Mr. Bishop co-founded Peerless Environmental Control, Inc. in May 1987. He became President and owner in 1992. Mr. Bishop was responsible for development, management and field operations of asbestos abatement projects for municipalities, state and federal agencies, general construction firms and industrial, commercial and private clients until the initial expansion in 1992. Mr. Bishop continues to administer overall management and budgeting of sales for the company. Mr. Bishop specializes in work practices and contractor responsibilities for both the asbestos and lead programs.
Jack P. Weisenborn
Jack Weisenborn earned two masters degrees from the State University New York at Buffalo. He brings 35 years experience in teaching health, safety & technology. His professional practice of public agency facilities management work is widely recognized across New York State, including the N.Y.S. Education Department. He has performed over 100 school AHERA inspections/management plans and supervised large asbestos projects under multi-million-dollar capital construction projects. He writes health & safety grants, and teaches at the University at Buffalo Graduate School of Education. Mr. Weisenborn offerss great depth of knowledge, high professional standards, ethics, and reliability. He has spoken at numerous national & state conferences and has published several articles.
