And the winner is….

Greetings;

Congratulations to Phil Connery, the lucky winner of our Jets-Bills raffle. Phil and his guest will be spending Nov 9 in the luxurious Jim Kelly Club at Ralph Wilson Stadium, as the Jets and Bills battle for AFC supremacy of New York. EEA President Andy McLellan will be hosting a pre-game tailgate event at the stadium along with staff and friends of the organization. Please let us know if you’re at the game and we’ll stock up on the Molsons!

Stay tuned for our next raffle, especially you Rangers and Sabres fans!

In other news:

EEA is offering FREE lead safe work practices in Brooklyn through November, compliments of our Lead Connections grant program. This training is great for complying with NYC Local Law 1 of 2004 (the City’s Lead Regulation), HUD Lead safe Work Practices for Federally-assisted housing and EPA’s Renovators requirements for non-certified workers.

Lead was also the subject of a MSN real estate piece. Lead dust testing is easy, not very expensive and a great way to make sure that you’re not living in a contaminated environment. EEA offers a one day lead sampling technician course that will provide all the knowledge and skills that the homeowners, landlord or specialist will need to do clearance testing after maintenance, renovation or to just find out if lead hazards are present. UNYSE Labs offers accredited analysis of lead wipe samples and a “Do it Yourself” kit that includes everything anyone needs to complete testing for lead dust.

We’ll be holding an Asbestos Project Designer Initial training in Rochester, NY next week. This may very well be the last one offered this year, so don’t miss out, visit our website to sign up today!

BTW, we’ve added links on our website for asbestos and lead regulations in New York. Check it out.
