To avoid the risk of lead poisoning for yourself\, loved ones\, pets\, and others\, this course educates would-be renovators on how to perform lead-safe work practices safely. \nThis 8-hour course is required for contractors\, home improvement firms\, handymen\, and others involved in renovation work at pre-1978 housing and child occupied facilities. Training covers the dangers of lead paint\, and comprehensive safe renovation practices compliant with regulatory standards including the EPA Renovation\, Repair\, and Painting Rule\, as well as the HUD Lead Safe Housing Rule. \nUpon completing the course and passing the exam\, you’re considered a certified EPA Renovator. An EPA Lead Renovator certificate is emailed.

Lead Inspectors detect the presence of lead-based paint (LBP) and determine if LBP is a hazard\, which is essential to hazard control efforts. \nThis 24-hour initial lead inspector course is for anyone conducting lead-based paint inspections\, surveys\, paint sampling\, and clearance examinations in target housing and child-occupied facilities. \nThis course includes comprehensive education on sample collection and reporting\, using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) on-site monitoring instrumentation\, and materials sampling. \nUpon completing this course and passing the third-party exam\, you’ll be considered an EPA certified Lead Inspector.
