Here & There

It’s been a busy few months at EEA.  

This is largely in part due to Lead Renovator training in NYC.  The New York City Housing Authority has been in trouble with EPA and HUD over lead safe work practices in public housing.  EEA has been providing the one day RRP certification to NYCHA staff and other contractors since last year and is on track to train over 1500 personnel by November.

We save a couple spots in each session for contractors, so get ‘em while they’re there. 

EEA will also be providing specialized mold training to NYCHA custodial, maintenance and skills trade staff as the housing authority gears up to deal with mold and moisture concerns in their developments.   This training will include a cutting edge Virtual Reality component to simulate site conditions in a contributing and safe environment.  It’s going to be a game changer for vocational environmental training.   Stay tuned for more on that.

We’ve also made some changes in Rochester.  Beginning in July 2018, we are partnering with Cornerstone Training Institute to offer a full schedule of asbestos, lead and mold training.   Classes are held at 460 State Street, 2nd Floor.  This gives both organizations a much better chance to fill enough seats to run the classes.   As Rochester’s longest serving environmental certification trainer, we’ve got a responsibility to provide our faithful clientele with the best training out here.
