Lighten Up Francis

Greetings;

Remember that great lines from Stripes?

Last week’s message was pretty dense, so we’ll keep it light this time around. Just a couple important details:

The Professional Abatement Contractors of New York (PACNY) will be holding their 16th annual Environmental Conference on March 1st & 2nd, 2012 at Turning Stone Resort & Casino, Verona, NY. This is your best opportunity to interact with asbestos and other environmental professionals throughout New York. This year features presentation on PCBs, IAQ, silica and, of course, asbestos.

The highlight of the event is a presentation from Chris Alonge, NYSDOL Engineering Services, who usually offers an update on new or proposed changes to Code Rule 56. Last year Mr. Alonge did a great job of explaining revisions related to life safety and other noteworthy issues. His presentation is available on our website. Take a look before you go.

This week’s winner of our Hazard Control Supplies raffle is Timithy Ostroski. Don’t forget to sign up for your chance to win.

Also, don’t miss next week’s training opportunities, including our Asbestos Air Sampling Technician Initial in Syracuse and the Lead Supervisor Refresher in Utica.

Be well!
