Thu Sep 12th, 2024 - 8:15 am to 5:15 pm

Renovation work on houses and other structures built before 1978 can lead to potentially dangerous encounters with lead, particularly when lead-based paint is disturbed. To avoid the risk of lead poisoning for yourself, loved ones, pets, and others, this course educates would-be renovators on how to perform lead-safe work practices safely.

This 8-hour course is required for contractors, home improvement firms, handymen, and others involved in renovation work at pre-1978 housing and child occupied facilities. Training covers the dangers of lead paint, and comprehensive safe renovation practices compliant with regulatory standards including the EPA Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule, as well as the HUD Lead Safe Housing Rule.

Upon completing the course and passing the exam, you’re considered a certified EPA Renovator. An EPA Lead Renovator certificate is emailed.
