Supervising asbestos abatement projects to ensure safety and compliance is the responsibility of an Asbestos Abatement Supervisor. This 40-hour course covers identifying asbestos, health effects, PPE, air monitoring and state-of-the-art abatement practices. 4-8 Hours — Maintaining certification for asbestos-related roles requires periodic refresher courses. Each asbestos course has a corresponding refresher course ranging from 4 to 8 hours, based on the field. Certification must be renewed annually under USEPA and NYSDOH requirements.
